Sarah Brightman

Sarah Brightman, believe it or not, was one the original Pan's People, an all girl dance hotgossiptroupe that regularly featured on Top of The Pops in the 1970's. It was there that she was spotted by Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips and was later to join another successful dance troupe Hot Gossip, who starred on The Kenny Everett Show.

In 1978 "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trouper" was released, reaching number 6 of the UK charts.

Upon leaving Hot Gossip Sarah auditioned for and got the part Jemima in the musical Cats, where she was to meet her 2nd future husband, Andrew Lloyd Webber.

After a year in Cats came the very successful Phantom of The Opera where Sarah would play Christine Daae, a role specifically written for her by her then husband Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber. starship trouper

From 1990, after an amicable divorce from Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sarah Brightman has had a very successful solo career. I guess the song most people would know would be "Time To Say Goodbye" a duet sang with Andrea Bocelli. Collaborating with producer Frank Peterson has enabled a string of successful albums, Eden, La Luna, Harem and Symphony to name but a few. A world tour would then follow each release, producing wonderful DVD's of the concerts.

Because of Sarah's hard work and determination, her name and voice are known world wide.
